Plots and Movies

Concerning Jack Vance's plots: does your life have a plot? Mine doesn't, random inexplicable things happen to me all the time.

If we were making movies from Jack's books who would you pick for the characters? I think Arnold Schwartzenegger would make a good Kirth Gersen. John Saxon in his younger days might make a good Adam Reith. Glyneth Paltrow would make a good Suldren. Orson Wells for King Casimir. Keith Carridine for Ailles.
Any thoughts?
