Well, don't forget the two or three extraordinary cuisines
described in the Demon Princes series...the Skankers (?) and
one other whose name I forget...full of strong, nay, rank
smelling pungencies and other such inedibilities.

The one of these described as Keith Gersen is looking for Beauty
Dace in "The Star King" is, I suspect, a parody of the contempo-
rary everyday diet of North Americans. One item exactly matches
a string of hotdogs: "pink sausages".
