A follow-up on an earlier discussion. I recently joined eBay, but already disappointment is setting in. The Jack Vance list now includes Bad Ronald, Strange Notions/Dark Ocean, Bird Isle/Take My Face, a first (Winston) Vandals of the Void, and a first (Hillman) Dying Earth. But the prices are really getting out of hand! And not just on eBay: ABE has Strange Notions/Dark Ocean for $ 200 and $ 250 (and a first Take My Face for $ 750)! Does anyone (Mike B. or others) know just when these prices started to soar into these absurd heights? Any ideas as to how I might obtain copies of SN/DO or BI/TMF for a *reasonable price*, say between $ 60 and $ 80?
