Your points gave me some wry amusement. I have written a novel which owes a great deal to Vance (closer to the Demon Princes than anything else). I think it's better than much of the tosh I see on bookshelves.
Sadly I am not a publisher with vast largesse to assist struggling authors; and I cannot convince any such person to publish my book.
There are two possible interpretations:
1. My work is too fine to attract general appreciation;
2. I am mistaken in my assessment of its merits.
Sadly the latter is the more plausible hypothesis.
