I'm sorry Michaela, during my quick scan of posts, I didn't notice you. I'll try to get Kelley G from upatsix to visit here. We talk Cockatoo's there, but I think she is pretty well versed in Vance.

Yes, the richness of the language is palpable. I first noticed that in the Dying Earth. Reading some of his discriptions gave me goose bumps the first time I read them.
