A recommendation on books (And you need to know that Vance was the only author where I decided to buy every book about nearly 30 years ago) Liveship traders, book 1; the Magic Ship was an extremely fascinating story. A paperback sets you back about 7 dollar,worth a try: it's really great and Hobb IS a stroy teller in this book.
