German translations:
Maastricht, Mount Pleasant, Palafox and Providence are transferred word-for-word without change. "Beyond" is literally translated into "Jenseits"
Emphyrio – one of my favorite Vance books – has more touches of central Europe: the mentioning of Cologne (Chap. 19) and the Dodrechten mud-flats (Wattenmeer, a natural preserved form of landscape at the shores of the North Sea with unique flora and fauna.
Note: the German translation of Emphyrio is abridges! Among other things they omitted the cologne scene...
