: : How do translations of JV books in your native language compare to the original English versions? Acknowledging the fact that the skill of the interpreter has a lot to do with it, do the books still have the same "flavor"?
: One Vladimir Poleganov, a contributor to this board, reported to me that he's enjoyed Vance books not only in his native Bulgarian and in English, but in Russian and German as well. Vladi, you out there? Would you care to comment on the relative merits of the various Vance translations you've read?

Yes, Vance is good in Bulgarian and Russian, almost as good as in English. Vance uses the whole richness of the English language and Bulgarian language is at some aspects even richer. The translations are really good, the style still is on high level.
