In my opinion the best artist to illustrate Jack Vance would be Don Lawrence, the author of the fantasy comic book series 'Storm'. He can create the same kind of wierd worlds in his drawings as Vance can create in his stories.
Unfortunately I can't put a link to some Don Lawrence pictures here cause there don't seem to be any on the net, except for some small horrible scans of covers that is, there aren't even on the fanclub page! Probably a strict copyright regime again.
So you'd have to run to a comic book store to confirm or deny my opinion :) But I don't think you'll regret that, cause the 'Storm' series is really worth reading! (although, I must admit, the newer books are not as good as the old ones...)
