First Edition of _Ports of Call_

I'm looking for the earliest documented sighting of Jack Vance's latest
novel, _Ports of Call_. I'm particularly interested in hearing from
folks back on the East Coast or those of you that work in bookstores in
The Netherlands or the United States. I'm after delivery dates and
shelving dates if I can get them, or purchase dates if I can't.

It appears that both the Meulenhoff (Dutch) and Tor (US) editions were
released within a week of each other. The Tor edition showed up on the
shelves first, but the Meulenhoff edition is copyright March 1998 and the
Tor edition is copyright April 1998.

So what constitutes a "simultaneous release", anyway? Two separate
editions released the same day? The same week?
