Rather than a Demon Prince, I'd see Gates as the Vancian Hero Archetype: ruthless and self-assured, yet somewhat quiet and introverted, he, in the process of achieving his personal goals, catalytically transforms society. What about casting him as Gyle Tarvoke or (better) as Glavin Clattuc, with the Microsoft License Agreement as the Cadwal Charter?
