Alas, my memory was deceiving me. I did not have my books in my house (lack of bookcases). Having retrieved them, I have in fact got a copy of Suldren's Garden, and not the Green Pearl.
Flicking through the Work of Jack Vance, I can also see that the text changes are back to the original from changes made by Berkley.
I shall read a Craig Shaw Gardener book as penance.
