Well, you could suggest the beginning re: novels, i.e The Dying
Earth...or to give your friend an idea of the diversity of
Jack's writing, try either Dark Side of the Moon or The
Augmented Agent as samplers...or *plug* :), you could point him
to be my modest reviews...assuming he has WWW access or can
witness it...
