I know that a lot of readers find Attel Malagate the least reprehensible of all the Demon princes, because after all he wasn't even a human. But that's precisely why I fear him and loathe him above the others. Vanity, concupiscence, vainglory, homicidal tempers are some of what the other 4 have got which is at least something I can relate to, but not Malagate. He's the only DP I didn't eventually come to pity. Remember from "Star King" those stylish young girls with what we would call post-punk hairdos and clothes flirting with Kirth outside the Sea (something)University? Now like Kirth, I find myself wondering if young women I run into aren't agents of some mass-murderer. Hell on my social life. :) Dom C. jr
