I have to agree with Suan that the VGF "Durdane" series covers are pretty damn fine, but my personal favourite for simplicity of design, yet striking in it's eerie (for want of a better parallel) quality is the 1969 Mayflower edition of "Star King".
That face is so pure, and maybe, portends a certain dread in it's calm visage.My friend and fellow J.V. enthusiast has a tattoo of itsmack on his right bicep (which is kind of silly, come to think of it...)
