Dean, even if you popped in now and again, it would be great! Relaxation and enjoyment -- not guilt -- is what I'm aiming for. No deadlines. Laid-back is the idea. And don't even think of it as round-robin; we can participate when and if we feel like it. Terrific news on your literary projects, BTW! Keep us informed. Also, re: my email address: make sure you send to clover@coconet.com instead of clover@oneimage.com; moved from CO to FL.

: My trouble is, I'm on the brink of committing myself contractually to a book project and it's become obvious the manuscript will consume huge slabs of my time and energy, when lately I've been none too sanguine as to how stylish and well reasoned said book will prove, in final form.

: These apprehensions persist, but I can scarcely back down now, can I? (Nahhh, you wouldn't--and neither will I).

: In the meantime I have other (filmic) fish to fry. At least, that is how I set my bait, lo these many months ago. The wonder is, there are signs the movie brass might now be within reach. ...or maybe not. One thing is sure: It's a good thing no one here took seriously my plaintive whining for a grassroots Vance film (though I swear I was sincere about that).

: In looking back I can only shake my head at such wicked vainglory; I fear these are the time constraints Willem was referring to, and, for me, all hope of joining an online JV BBS round-robin must go by the boards. The best I can do is pop in now and again, glean the luminous, and mayhap post a terse thought or three (of no doubt only limited application).

: Till then it's farewell--while I pray Mike keeps this irreplaceable board going. To my quirky sensibilities, there can be no other.

: : If you or any who might be reading this have an interest in doing a multi-party "story", please drop me a line on this bbs.

: : David, can't agree more with your gentle phrase comments
: : I am certain Mike does not care: he might even like this, as the original problem was maintenance (removing spam etc)
: : If this board gets a major malfunction he might be short of time to getit up working again. (this is all my interpretation but he could jump in and let us know)
: : Indeed I did resubscribe once I found out that funny things where happening here.
: : On a story: i like the idea but it has 2 disadvantages (from my point of view)
: : it means you need to have time to contribute regularly ( an d I ma short of this although I get the same amount per day as you)
: : it means that we need either a story line (very general) or leave it all open. (i prefer the first: some standards set and work from there)
: : let's see what happens.
