I actually proposed a Vance mailing list, before I started up this BBS (and didn't get much response.) I'm not much interested in mailing lists; I joined a few, but quit quickly. It's too hard for me to keep track of threaded discussions.
What *I* want is a newsgroup! They still suffer from a 1-5 day time lag, but at least they're threaded by subject.
Of course, if you or anyone was to start up a mailing list, I'd probably join, and definitely promote it on my site.
