I'm not aware of any full-blown biography, or even a half-blown one, but you might glean something from the book JACK VANCE, in the "Writers of the 21st Century" series, edited by Tim Underwood and Chuck Miller, published by Taplinger, New York, 1980. Also there is an interesting interview in LIGHT FROM A LONE STAR, a post con Vance short story collection published by the NESFA press, Cambridge, MA, 1985.
