Here are my top five Jack Vance novels ( or Series ) :
1. The Demon Princes.Five superb novels with a galaxy of quirky characters either aiding or trying to prevent Gersen's quest for vengeance.
2. Lyonesse.Beautifully envisioned epic fantasy with engaging central characters : Shimrod,Aillas,Suldrun,Madouc...plus the bad guys!!
3 .Planet of Adventure.Exciting,moving,captivating,..The Dirdir was for me the best one.
4 .Maske:Thaery. Rich and lavish descriptions - tour de force!
5 .Showboat World. Brilliant.Best bit?The Macbeth performance!
