I should add to my request to all readers:
1) The reason why I ask nationality is to see if there is a Brit/Yank effect upon differing fanships for Vance &
Pratchett.
2) As soon as I get quite a few replies I will post a summary to
this BBS.
3) I've had four replies so far, not counting the one from
Nick Edwards, which was posted to the BBS and not to me ---
PLEASE, write directly to me. It makes life easier.
4) I only ask about Russell because I happen to like him a lot,
and I figure why not do it all at once?
5) I'm only doing this out of interest --- apart from the
summary, to be posted here, the results go NOWHERE else.
Me? Who me? I happen to love all three, though I agree with
Patrick (private email) who found the last two Pratchett books
lacking in zip. Vance first & foremost, though, albeit that
Pratchett is far more comprehensive and often much deeper.
Gabriele
