I also appreciate the converstions you allude to, one that springs to mind is that between cugel and erwig toward the end of Cugels Saga.
Erwig is disparaging the folk of cuirnif, and deriding their adherence to religious ritual. Erwig describes their method in relation to his own and asks for Cugel's opinion (needless to say Cugel is utterly ignorant on the subject)..
Cugel:"The rite should be conducted as you described....no other method carries weight."
Erwif (refilling Cugel's glass):"I consider this an important endorsement of our views."
i could go on, there are thousands of great lines in his work, he is a non-pareille (or however you spell that)
