: : : : Will, Got an email address matey?

: : : : Anyone know what's happed to JackVance.com? Has it given up?

: : : If I remember correctly (it's hard to keep track of all of the emails sometimes), the webmaster and his wife are new parents. He's been kinda distracted for a while.

: : : Ggg

: : It seems a pity as the discussion board was developing a different, and complimentary, timbre from the one here. I was really getting into the "Spot a Vance etymology" threads!

: Martin, if you could explain I could do my part to get it back on track. Looks interesting what you could mean but: sorry i just don't get what you mean.
: Where do you want to go?
: Donna: got it through?
: otherwise: wjtimmer@worldonline.nl for direct.
: I agree completely with Terry,
: got everything complete through help of people from the board in 2 years. Had to do a bit of my own as well ofcourse.
: If you read Dutch I could supply some from here
: ;-) the translators aren't bad at all.
: Willem

I could be getting my sites mixed up here, but I thought the Jack Vance Web Central site had a discussion board which stopped functioning some months ago. The threads there seemed to have a rather more speculative content on JV's work than is generally found here (not that the threads here are uninteresting) - it just seemed a pity that the discussion stopped.

Martin

PS. I'm afraid I don't read Dutch. The only languages other than Modern English I can make any attempt at reading are French and Anglo-Saxon. Anglo-Saxon is supposed to be related to Frisian but I don't think the closeness is such that Dutch would be intelligible to me ;-) Waes Hael!
