: Anyone wanting to check her out - which I recommend - would do well to start with the Alexander trilogy or the Theseus books.

Just finishing the 3rd Alexander book, _Funeral Games_ set after the death of Alexander the Great. Which one might think dull, but the riot that occurs after the Great King dies is worth the read as are the 1st two books, _The Fire From Heaven_ which takes Alexander from age 4 up to his accession upon the murder of his father, King Philip.

The second book, _The Persian Boy_ is narrated by Alexander's eunuch lover, Bagoas, and is the best of the three books. Magic, intrigue, gods propitiated, sacrifices, treason, hubris, wars, long treks through desert wastes cover Alexander's romp through Asia and back up to the time of his death.

I'm not a big historical novel reader, but these are special.
