People must be interested in his books for the store to still sell them after 50 years since they were published. I hope you enjoy Peake! His works are not the most accessible around, but now, almost twenty-five years after first reading them, I still remember the pleasures they offer. They're big books: you can sail around in them a long time. Bison Books put out new editions fairly recently; I think I'll excavate my copies for reading, as soon as I'm through my Avram Davidson phase. (Another brilliant writer, although vastly different from either Peake or Vance.)
