Does anyone know about CA Smith's novels? I've been ordering the cheaper PB's off ABE and it looks like the ones described are mostly collections of short stories. Did Smith write novels? He certainly seems to have been a prolific author.
Here's a partial list: 1) City of the Singing Flame (collection),
2) The Devil Wifes of Li Fong,
3) The Jade Enchantress,
4) The Abominations of Yondo,
5) Poseidonis,
6) Xiccarph,
7) Zothique,
8) Hyperborea (collection, I think),
9) The Dark Eiodolon,
10) Out of Space and Time,
11) Lost Worlds,
12) Genius Loci and Other Tales,
13) Spells and Philtres,
14) The Dark Chateau.
Great titles, don't you think? But that's enough for now. The titles have a real hint of mystery to them. Apparently Clark wrote horror/fantasy for a few years and just quit. Wrote poetry as well.
There have been numerous reprints, but picking through the used PB's in several bookstores last weekend, I couldn't find a single copy. (Ah, the prices of his hardcovers on ABE!)
Anyone with any insight into Smith or recommendations or emmendations would be welcome.
