Agree with David L. that if you're looking for PC, look elsewhere. But I wonder why a red skinned race living in the "Wildlands" would be compared to inner city black lives? Isn't the parallel much more obvious to American Indians? I'm afraid you'll get no sympathy for Jack amplifying human virtues over the non-human Rogushkoi.
