: I looked at Jack Vance list. I don't think it's a scam per se. It's free and their TOS tells you they will be giving your personal information to third parties ie. spam, spam, spam!! The "lists similar" showed book related lists with age limits as low as 13 and over. I guess they consider Jack as adult material! I probably read my first Vance at age 12 and didn't realize it was in the same class as those Playboys I used to hide under the mattress.
: Regarding this BBS I've seen the occasional spam that apparently got by you and wondered that there wasn't more of it. I think this BBS is one of the best things we Vance fans have and I would hate to see it shut down or restricted so new people couldn't pop in as they find it. My vote would be to please delete anything you have time to delete but don't worry about what gets by you. I have a delete key too. This board is too important to be shut down by spammers so please don't shut it down.

I must add my voice to that of John and others. This site is too interesting to be shut down. I'm sure we can cope with whatever spam comes our way, after all its hardly uncommon. We need our dose of sanity in a perplexed world !
