The fellow who started the mailing list has contacted me, and it seems all above-board. The "over-21 only" was for liability reasons I don't yet understand. However, although I'm subscribed, I haven't figured out how to post to it; the confirmation message was unhelpful, and I don't have time to search their site. Apparently I'm not alone, as I've received no other messages.
I'm still hoping for a moderated newsgroup. Anyone have about 20 hours a week to spare?
