Is that so? I did not bother muddling through the fine print (and now
I can't find them), but the following is excerpted from their FAQ:

I'm assuming (or hoping) that they will not give our e-mail addresses
to spammers; they will, however, allow advertisements to the lists,
i.e., in the form of a signature appended to each post. Considering
how this is a source of revenue for them, I have no objections with it.
I think it might be worthwhile to give the mailing list a chance, and
hope that they are sincere about their "strict policy against unsolicited
email, or SPAM".
