: The main points that resonated with me had to do with the inequity of how cloning was to be apportioned. In our times, I am afraid that cloning, will be an option for the very rich, powerful and very greedy egomaniacs of our societies.

: I for one, do not think we need more of such people.

/STRONGLY/ disagree. If you have ever read a single work of Vance, you must know that he rewards initiative and follow through above all else. Should we deny Gerson a clone after his performance at Interchange? Or Reith? or any of the others?

Hey: Let's give Gerson a clone before he fooled Interchange/Kokor Hekkus (sp?). Afterwards, 'cause he's got some dough, let's consider him "very rich, powerful and (a) greedy egomaniac."

You further mention that "our planet has too many people already and it is getting insanely overpopulated at an increasingly faster and faster rate."

Here's your action plan:

1. Convince the Holy Father that those who, regardless of any particular faith, race, or nationality, are unable to support their offspring, should use birth control/abortion/sterilization.

2. Do nothing during your entire lifetime that would enable you to be nominated for a cloning.

3-1000. ARGGH. This is stupid. I won't go any further.
