God knows. I agree with you. But what I do instead is that every so often - every 2-3 years - I reread all Vance from cover to cover. Amazing how often one finds new angles. The only book I really don't like (as opposed to bad books or stories, of which there are, we must confess, a number) is Dark Notions.
