Certainly Sklar Hast is an interesting character, not least because he has to struggle with such handicaps as reinventing things that are everyday knowledge for Jaro Fat or Kirth Gersen. In other words, they only have to fight their enemies - he has to invent how to do it as well. (The same is to some degree true of Gastel Etzwane, by the way.) I personally like Glawen Clattuc and also Ghyl Tarvoke in Emphyrio. But it's difficult to find an ultimate favourite.
